Take a trip back in time online at the Historical Society of Western Virginia collection of online archives. You can find letters that describe past ways of life and photographs that give a glimpse into the past such as the one posted here. This photo was taken around 1895, looking west along the Norfolk and Western tracks. The building in it burned the next year.
