Join us for an evening of creativity, history, and discovery at our After Hours Maker’s Series. This adults-only program blends science, history, and art in a relaxed, social atmosphere.
Participants will be introduced to the fascinating science of dendrochronology, the study of tree rings, and how historians and scientists use them to uncover stories about climate, environmental changes, and historic events. Learn how tree-ring analysis has helped researchers understand periods like the drought during the Jamestown “Starving Time” and how it is used today to date historic buildings and structures.
Enjoy wine, snacks, and conversation throughout the evening while exploring the hidden history found within every tree.
