Thank you to ‘Fantasyland 2017’ Visitors

Fantasyland — 2017, the Society’s annual event of holiday displays and special music and story programs ended Dec.  21 with jam-packed sessions and a happy Santa. School groups and individuals made it a success! The event was at the O. Winston Link and History Museums, 101 Shenandoah Ave. NE, across from Hotel Roanoke.

It was so rewarding to welcome visitors who have attended the event for years and to meet newcomers to the sessions. This tradition dates to the 1970s and for many years has featured the same Santa known to many youngsters now grown. Santa sings and tells stories to teach the true value of Christmas. Visitors also get to see displays featuring holiday characters that once appeared in Roanoke Valley storefronts during the holidays.

Visitors also get to see the Link and History museum exhibits.
